It sounds crazy, but trust me: a corn cob backscratcher.
Itβs essentially just a dried piece of corn on a wooden stick. But the texture is perfect, and because itβs rounded, it covers a much larger area than a regular backscratcher and is much more satisfying to use. My wife bought me one for $11 and I swear by it. You simply cannot go back to a regular backscratcher after trying one.
Oh, and theyβre indestructible. My in-laws still use one from 1979!
take a sample of the surface of that back scratcher from 79. There's likely an entire close loop ecosystem living on it
I was about to say... I don't wanna touch the one from '79 with a 10 foot pole lol. They may be indestructible, but at what cost
Luckily, if you look under the Big & Tall section, you can buy one with an 11ft pole!
Please no... Anything but that
So much detritus on that thing
If your back is constantly itchy, it's possible that you could benefit from exfoliating your skin. I use these salux cloths for my back and all over when I shower. My back scratching tool is now collecting dust and also, my keratosis pilaris issues went away after about a year.
Ok. You are right. It does sound crazy.
I'm now fascinated by the versatility of corn cobs since I thought they were only used for pipes
My first comment on Lemmy and someone thinks Iβm an AI π
