Guy murdered someone and went to prison for it. Then when offered his freedom in exchange for him fighting, he agreed. Then as soon as he could, he surrenders to Ukraine.

As soon as Ukraine could get some Ukrainians for him, they trade him over.

Ukraine is just as culpable for his death, in my opinion. I don't blame them of course - I'd prioritize Ukrainians - especially young men who haven't murdered anyone. But in my opinion, I couldn't really care less about a treasonous murderer getting sledgehammered.

Why would Ukraine do this?

Big brain moment there bud. Imagine you're the Ukrainian POW that didn't get released in case Russia killed the POW Ukraine sent them back.

Was widely reported on when it happened. But just think about it. You're this guy- do you wanna go back to Russia? No, I would be begging for them to keep me in Ukrainian jail.

And he did. And they ignored him 'cause fuck him he's a murderer and a Russian and they can trade Ukrainian young men for him
