https://sh.itjust.works/c/tabletop_hobby is another community for miniature gamers.

Like the one on kbin, it doesn’t have traction yet. But these hobby communities need profile to get found, add members and take off.

This one https://lemmy.world/c/ww2wargaming has a mix of posts about painting miniatures and terrain as well as the games themselves.

maybe that’s blatant self-advertising, but you might want to have a look at my origami community I created a few weeks ago (since I couldn't find any other origami community for my instance)… no drama, no politics, just simple paper folding, I promise :)
