Don't Chelsea need to sell by the end of the month for FFP purposes? The price of the brick will come down, surely.
I guess they're hoping a club would be stupid/desperate enough to try to get him now rather than wait until later in the window. Either that or they really don't want to lose him, and hope that they can shift other players far lower in the pecking order to satisfy the FFP requirements.
I'm sure you're right, but they can get fucked, apparently no one wants their overpriced albatrosses.
