One of the challenges (and benefits) of the Fediverse is the existence of duplicate communities.

What purpose does this community serve that the larger and more active [email protected] does not?

It's on an instance where you won't get banned for saying "the Uyghur genocide in China is real," for starters. I don’t touch lemmy.ml with a ten foot pole because the admins are lunatics who've enforced their views with bans while refusing to ever clarify that they will ban for expressing non-tankie politics and just saying "if you don't like our moderation policy, find a new instance."
