I've only looked at the front page a couple of times since the blackout. It seems to have degraded significantly. I have no idea if that's confirmation bias or the reality of the situation.
Feel the same, quality seems very stale these days. Wondered if it was just me who was thinking that.
I pass by the front page to hit my porn-filled multireddit (hey, leave me alone, the non-straight content on lemmy is still lacking). The front page is stagnant, it's pretty bad out there.
the straight content is lacking too. the nsfw on lemmy is an absolute waste of time. it's awful. we need actual sex workers and exhibitionists to show up, because whatever bullshit the 3-4 horny repost dudes are into is NOT my thing. all I see posted is stupid hentai, fully clothed white celebs, and tame softcore still images of solo women, again mostly white. there's barely any gifs, barely any couples, barely any OC
A LOT more Twitter ragebait, but not an astronomical amount more than what the site already had. /r/all was largely just many clones of /r/funny wearing a mask, or clonea of WhitePeopleTwitter (ragebait central) wearing a mask.
Sad to see AccidentalRennaissance also joined the ranks as yet another /r/funny clone.
Years ago I saw users talking about joining Discords to share how to make subreddits go viral with inflammatory content. I believe the donald era brought a massive paradigm shift to the site. In other words the user base became that which enjoys edgy posting.
