Colorado family members die trying to live 'off the grid'

The group - including the sisters who were in their 40s - had no outdoor survival experience and had watched online videos to learn about how to survive in Colorado's rugged backcountry ...

One article said they had food from the grocery store and lots of survival literature. The way the bodies were found hinted towards some sort of poising.

Could they have foraged for food and mistakenly eaten inedible vegetation?

Or suffocated themselves in the tent? We won‘t know, but we will do better… and most importantly don‘t put children at risk.

Tent is not a long term shelter in the winter.
