A book with 1001 albums chosen by a panel of music critics to be the most important and influential in popular music. This site will help you listen to them all. One album a day.

This site is a simple resource to help you go through each of the "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die." I've been using it for maybe around a year(ish) now with some of my friends and it's a great way to find new albums/artists you might not have listened to otherwise

I've definitely found the 1001 to be hit and miss. Some albums seem like a solid 5/5, some albums I have no idea how they made the list. I think it's the nature of the system.

Of course, I don't mind listening to the occasional album that's outside my tastes, if there's some historical or cultural significance to it. Which seems to be what the list is going for. Plus, 1001 is a LOT of albums, there's bound to be some duds.
