The biggest mistake started with the Skrull’s introduction in Capt. Marvel, they just putzed it up in the name of “the unexpected reveal” by turning them into good guys. The Secret Invasion should’ve started at that point, it shouldn’t have been resolved neatly, no promise to find the Skrulls a new home or anything, just the ominous foreboding of knowing that anyone could be a Skrull. It could’ve been this threat just hiding out in the shadows, always lurking, making the audience question the motives of every character for the past however many years it’s been. Instead it was just rushed into with no build-up and skrull reveals just sort of casually happening with no tension. This series makes me so annoyed at the wasted potential and just overall bad writing that’s been indicative of 90% of the D+ offerings.
