My name is Commander Shepard and this is my favorite Mass Effect community on the citadel.
Rules & Regs:
- Don't be a dick, unless it's a really spicy renegade interrupt. But even then, seriously, don't be a dick.
- Memes are great - seriously, I need more Mass Effect sh!tposting in my life.
- This is a welcoming community for all stripes, let's just remember there's people on the other side of the screen and act accordingly.
- If you're here, you gotta post. Thems the breaks, kid.
Other stuff:
- I hope to welcome all Rexxitors from r/masseffect, though this is not in any official way associated with them. Still, they're great, and Mass Effect is great, so I hope all Reddit orphans can find a cozy place here to talk about whether or not Leviathan of Dis is going to pull some shady ish.

I may be one of the only people who played MEHEM and actually found it underwhelming. It takes even more of the stakes out of your choice, and then wraps up with a happy party. As much as I hate to say it, removing the agonizing choice of saving Edi + the geth vs. potentially living through the blast makes the ending ring...hollow? Though it seems that by all indications, it won't matter in ME5, since we know the geth are back.
You're entitled to your opinion of course, but that said. I disagree, I feel like MEHEM made the best of a bad situation, and to me it acts as a nice way to end the trilogy. With MEHEM, if ME5 turns out bad, I'll at least have a great story in the trilogy top to bottom. If anything, it's always good to have options, I can't imagine the kind of work it took to make a mod like that in the first place, so I'm grateful.
Plus, I like happy endings sooo, yeah.
Oh I'm quite aware my opinion is the unpopular one by a landslide! I totally respect why it's such an important mod, and I'm glad it exists.
