Imagine if the condederacy, after losing the US civil War, retreated to Florida, killed tens of thousands of it's own people in concentration camps to stamp out "yankee sympathizers" , and imposed 40 years of martial law. All while claiming to be the true rightful government of America, and some of Canada too.
