Flash cost Warner Bros. almost $220 million and it was the biggest bomb of the year. Barbie's budget is only $150 million and will very likely become the highest-grossing film of the year.

And the Flash is particularly bad. Aside from all the crazy shit Miller did that Warner Bros just hoped everyone would forget, this is the last movie in a dead universe. Nothing that happens in it will matter for the future. Why would anyone pay the price of a movie ticket to see this of all things?

Last movie? Brother, we still got Aquaman 2 and Blue Beatle to suffer through! But you're right about the dead universe. The biggest selling point for all comic book movies, maybe the only reason for their continued existence, is continuity between films. Cinematic Universe. The moment they announced they're rebooting this shit show, every movie left on the slate was destined to collosally bombed.
