How do you fix your split seams? (self.vinyl)

Was wondering if any of you has the ultimate solution to fixing split seams. I've tried simple paper glue but it turns messy quickly and doesn't seem to last very long. Anybody with a better solution out there willing to share their wisdom?

Hey thanks for the super detailed reply! I was indeed talking about the glue drying out, if its torn then to me its just fubar and I've given up on it lol. The double sided adhesive roller seems like a way better option than dealing with any form of liquid glue. I'll definitely give that a try, thanks!
