A little off topic, but as a baseball enthusiast, every once in a while, I like to remind people that metal baseball bats, while may provide a nice metal ting on a hit, are not as sturdy, and lighter, making your swing faster but less powerful. A wood bat has more heft to it, allowing them to impact a ball harder. Plus, nothing beats the crack of a solid wood bat hit.
That’s a wonderful observation. Additionally, it’s a lot easier to affix things like spikes and chains to wooden bats.
