He closed breweries and wineries during COVID. Conveniently his winery was in a county with an exception. There is more to it according to Snopes, but it highlights the shit side of politics on the US and the very clear conflicts of interest.

The Sacramento bee published something that gives the benefit of the doubt due to some trust he setup his assets under, but I personally find those hard to believe when career politicians always seem to get exponentially richer when compared with the rest of the population.
