A community for the Tribes video game universe
The Tribes series is a collection of first-person shooters video games for PC, beginning with Starsiege: Tribes in 1998, developed by Dynamix. Its sequel, Tribes 2, was released in 2001 by Dynamix / GarageGames. A console version called Tribes Aerial Assault, was launched in 2002 for the PlayStation 2. In 2004, Tribes: Vengeance was released by Irrational Games, followed by Tribes: Ascend in 2012, developed by Hi-Rez Studios. In 2024, Tribes 3: Rivals was released.

For me, it was at a friend's house when I was a kid and it was my first multiplayer game. I remember being so hooked on it that as soon as I got home I went straight online to order a copy. From that point on, my mom basically lost access to her computer. I was just blown away at the time by the game's physics and the fact that I could team up and play with my pal from a distance.
A friend on the competitive scene described deploying turrets. I was sold.
