Couldn't you saturate it instantly? It's saturated exactly while you're using that speed and when you stop, it's not saturated anymore

On paper, yes

But in the real world there's very little out there that is capable and/or will allow you to download/upload something at a full 8Gbps

So, to actually saturate that pipe in a real world scenario id undoubtedly need to get multiple streams of something going, probably torrents or Usenet, and that'll take me some time lol

Oh I'd just throw in a bunch of big freeleech torrents and it'd take me 3 minutes to achieve saturation. The upkeep might be difficult though
