Just in time for the weekend, I thought I'd share 3 games that I enjoyed, but might have flew under the radar for most people.
I'll start this off with Your Spider, which has only 13 reviews on Steam. It's been a while since I last played it, but I remember liking it much more than I thought I would. Maybe I'm just a sucker for adorable spiders though.
Steam shows it as not supported on Steam Deck, but it seemed to work just fine on mine.
The game focuses more on puzzles than direct combat, and some of the bosses can only harmed by doing specific things in the right order or at the right time.
Next up is Among Ashes with about 184 reviews. It's somewhat short, but ended up being quite good. The "game within a game" concept is a really nice touch. It does a good job at building tension and generally doesn’t rely on cheap jump scares.
And last, while I guess this game isn't classified as a survival-horror game, I'm including 10 Dead Doves here anyway. Because with only 116 Steam reviews so far, it doesn't feel to me like enough people know about it.
I think some of the reviews on Steam do a better job than I ever could of describing what makes this game special. But it's one of the few games I that made me want to play through a second time. Interesting story, some funny moments, emotional moments, good voice acting. I highly recommend this one.
Thanks for the recommendations! I bought Your Spider and Among Ashes along with a game called the Mute House because it looked cool. That's my gaming budget for this week lol. Also, I have to agree with you, that spider is adorable.
I don't think I've heard of The Mute House. It does look good. I'll bookmark that one for later.
