What is a ruin? We’re running off of “You know it when you see it” at the moment. Ruins should be non-functioning structures of some age, or their function reduced to tourism and the like.

Very beautiful. There is something abour castle ruins that makes me "nostalgic". Maybe I was a castle cook in my previous life.

They're very cozy. The sort of thing one wants to go out onto the walls of and look dramatically-but-serenely over the landscape as the wind blows past your billowing cape.
