I am disappointed with Reuters, they are a big international news agency and they can't even go to Wikipedia and copy paste the proper spelling of Örebro?
Yeah, yeah, I know that the english language does not contain the Swedish letters å, ä and ö, but come on, at least use the proper spelling for these letters in english, ao, ae, and oe, in this case Örebro would be Oerebro in english.
It might be part of their guidelines to only use the English alphabet for the location at the start of the article
But "Oerebro" would still work...
Sure but it's harder to read and understand for most people, including me. The only time I remember seeing it is when my last gets mangled on documents when travelling by air.
