So, just for the record: How long will you just lay back and watch Trusk destroying your land and everything good it stood for before you will finally take action?
I regret to inform you that I am a US American. From my POV living in this country, most US Americans actually like being dominated. I'm pretty vocal about this stuff in my daily life and I hate admitting how often I get told to "just shut up and deal with it, nothing will change". We're all too complacent from the gilded decades of post-war economy booms, engorged from all the wealth our government has stolen from other nations. Couple that with the rampant censorship of the past two decades; it's easy to see the writing on the wall. We're lazy, fat and stupid and it's all by design.
I truly believe we've moved beyond the precipice and are now on a direct course to the collapse of the American Federal Oligarchy (aka the US government), where the ultra-rich will fully rape our land of all resources and then attempt to assimilate into another country to rinse and repeat.
Unless there is a nation-wide rallying call by a significant authority figure, like there should be by any one of these weak-ass "democratic" politicians, then the American general populace will continue to bitch about it online and that will be the end of the very short but wild history of USA Democracy.
I dunno man, your lowest of the low have no problem storming the Capitol or blowing up power infrastructure when they're worried about completely made up stories, but your patriots and progressives can't when there's an existential crisis?
It's not an "America" problem it's an American left problem.
It is an America problem. The insurrectionists are, whether we like it or not, US American citizens. The issue has been the decades long systematic reeducation ("un"-education is apropos) of the public-school system. Educated people don't participate in wanton destruction. That huge demographic of stupid people grew up and voted and now here we are.
I don't dispute that the political climate is universally American, I'm just saying that not all Americans are "fat and apathetic" some are taking political action. They're not waiting for a chance to vote for their least hated candidate then shrugging and going back to their quiet lives when that candidate loses. They're fighting hard for that they believe in.
A fascist revolution is being carried out by motivated fascists.
Where is the left?
