It's been a little bit since Space Age released and I'm curious to hear what everyone has been up to lately in their factory!

On my part I've been ready to go to Aquilo for a while now but I got distracted rebuilding everything on Nauvis with a rail-based city block design. I also got a calcite mining platform up and running and switched over a bunch of production to use molten metal.

I'm hoping to check out Aquilo anytime now but I might have to do a bit of work on Gleba and Fulgora before I can afford to be stranded again.

What sorts of things have you been working on in your factory?

This sounds really cool. I already suffered a surprise brownout on Vulcanus (which came at an inopportune time) and I've been meaning to set up something before it happens again.

I learned how to build an alarm for the first time on Gleba so that I get a notification when my primary nutrient belt drops below a certain threshold. Now a terrifying klaxon warns me that Gleba is about to enter a catastrophic death spiral so I have time to fix it.

Some basic circuits are quite simple, if you hooked up an alarm, there's a lot you can do. For example, controlling inserters based on chest contents can be very helpful when you output multiple products into a single passive provider to avoid one product taking all space. Or observing a single accumulator charge to disengage power switch :-) But the most complicated logic I did is really only decorative. And I'm also having fun with multiproduct assemblers.
