Have you asked her if she wants help?
If she does want help, I'd suggest showing her the console cheats, perhaps by binding some commands to a few keyboard keys.
If you jump into a game with her, you'll change the dynamic of her fight against the game more than giving her the option of just getting full ammo and health at the press of a button.
You obviously know her better than we do, so the decision is ultimately yours, but remember that if you just jump in to the game it could be seen as taking over the game and telling her that she isn't good enough.
What ever you do, talk with your partner first and make sure you are on the same page before doing it.
Oh yeah absolutely! When she got to on a rail she asked me if there was any real "in depth story to this one" I just said that its more of the setup for the in depth hl2 storyline. I got the idea to show her sven co op and she thought it was super cool, and would possibly be more fun (not that she wasn't having a blast already).
I got to thinking about synergy and how that might be a good experience as well. I know loading isn't as seamless. I have been talking with her about how there is another mod for hl2.
I didn't want to make it seem like "hey lemme help you" but more so "let's play this together cause it might be more fun!". She's pretty much left it up to me to decide because she doesn't really know anything about the game. I don't want to encroach on her experience in any way. The mire I am looking into it, it is making me realize it will be a fundamentally different experience though.
I looked up some footage of water hazard with synergy and I didn't know it spawns two helicopters. I thought it would just increase the bomb drop rate.
I'm starting to think a synergy playthrough will have to wait until 1 playthrough is completed XD
Also just wanted to see what others think personally
