Thank you for your excellent reply. My first thought was β€œis this a reference to Stalingrad?” Even still, I didn’t recognize how important the Battle of Stalingrad was until I read about it again. The Red Army, and the citizens of Stalingrad, are heroes for refusing to give in to the Nazis.
