Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

c/ph do we watch Oppenheimer on Liemax or standard 2D

  • give credit to Nolan's passion
  • nukes require best available cinema specs
  • film claims to be IMAX optimized
  • feel like a film buff + bragging rights
  • films are seldom like this (despite being titled Oppenheimer)

.

  • fake IMAX which tickets cost the same as legit ones
  • IMAX corp ignores above fact
  • cheaper, yet probably more sched options
  • it's a good movie they could be happy we watched it irl

probably boring af film why am i so undecided on this help lemmings

I'll probably watch it in standard but good cinema, commute to MOA is a big challenge for me, baka pagod na ako pagdating dun at matulugan ko pa.

Most Nolan films are optimized for all formats. That's the point of shooting larger format. IMAX 1570 film is equivalent to 16K on digital format, but this is just hearsay.
