I ended up dying a few nights later. I ran into a company of other hulking baboons and they were less than friendly - I'm unsure as to why. I might have killed someone they liked. But I only got killed because I was ridiculously cocky after steamrolling damn near everything that crossed my path, so I thought I could take them.
Right now, I'm trying to get more sap to make some Flaming Ick; I can't hand in all these books with no tongue! But like, man, sap is hard to find when you need it. Luckily I found a multicoloured gun to replace my musket, for protection while I search; I don't know exactly what a "spaser" is but it does 1d12 ranged damage so I'm just gonna point it at problems until that doesn't work anymore.
How about you - been playing long? Anything notable or fun in your latest run?
A spaser is strong, takes forever to shoot again, but makes clouds when it hits. I just started a fresh tinker true kin run. We'll see how long that lasts. I started in the salt dunes and just got the starting recoiler. But I'm afraid to go to Grit Gate just yet so I'm ruins diving. I've had pretty bad luck on the run tho.
I also have a run as a ray cat (using wishes and choose your fighter mod) but its scary going anywhere and is not an rp game.
And I also always have a fuck around game as an astral tabby. I run a village of astral tabbies in it.
You can run a village? Of astral tabbies? Where do you even find an astral Tabby? What's a wish? There are mods?
Dude, don't tell me. I have a feeling I'm going to spend a lot of time learning just the base game, let alone mods... Though I'm curious about ruins diving. I feel down a hole outside a village once and it was a nightmare trying to get back topside. Makes me wary to go deeper - I think "deeper" is where I ran into that village of baboons. Do you have tips on finding stairs back up to the overworld or is it just a question of exploring until I find them?
Usually, theres also stairs down somewhere so you dont have to go jumping down mysterious holes (I would not recommend that). If I were you I'd complete the questline in your starting village. You will get an item called a recoiler that will be set to that village. When it is used it consumes power from a battery cell and sends you back to the programmed location. Those are necessary for traveling deep within Qud. Other than that, read the Wiki its amazing, and Wishes are mostly useful for setting up custom runs (such as a run starting as an astral tabby).
