You know what might have been a clue? The past!

March 2017: Proposed $5.8 billion (18%) cut to NIH funding, targeting cancer research indirectly.
February 2018: Proposed eliminating the John S. McCain Childhood Cancer Foundation.
June 2019: Revoked the Clean Power Plan, weakening air pollution controls linked to lung cancer prevention.
2018: Delayed asbestos bans under the Toxic Substances Control Act, linked to cancer risks.
2017-2019: Repeated attempts to repeal the ACA, threatening free cancer screenings like mammograms.
February 2020: Proposed $3 billion cut to NIH in the 2021 budget, while increasing defense spending.
July 2019: Reversed proposed bans on flavored e-cigarettes, undermining tobacco-use prevention.

If people are surprised, it's because they aren't paying attention, or they just think Trump is BASED until the ramifications show up at their doorstep.
