But… aren’t cats incapable of tasting sweet tastes?
They can’t taste sweet, but pretty much everything other than white sugar will have other aromas and tastes they can pick up on. If you have a cat that goes apeshit for bread then they might also try to steal cake, even though the sweetness in the cake or icing won’t taste like anything to them.
