This is probably just the first instance of such a thing that has made it to my news feed, but the idea that there has now been a brazenly open Nazi rally on American soil in 21st century is horrifying. This is our 1933 moment, the moment wherein it can happen here. This could be the beginning pages of the worst chapter in American history, and possibly the world.
I really hope I'm wrong and it's just the shock making me paranoid and overreactive. I really hope we shut this down as a nation and that conservatives are a part of that effort, because we need them to be.
Damn, this country is so fucked....
Sadly, there have been Nazi and white supremacist rallies all over the country, often and every year for quite some time. It's really sad, but that's the reality.
But I think is more notable recently, and more disturbing, is that they're getting more press and less pushback from the media rather than being ostracized and ignored as they have been in the past.
You should give a listen to The War on Everyone by Robert Evans, its free in both audiobook and podcast form and is a great look at both the rise and long deep history of fascism/nazis in America
