I'm using a galaxy s24 with google messages so I can use rcs for messaging. I also have samsung messages installed which I prefer using, it supported sending rcs on my old a73 but never on my s24.
I received an update yesterday for samsung messages on my s24 and now I can enable chat messages. To me it looks like they have enabled rcs through samsung messages on the s24 and others I'm guessing.
Am I reading this right or is "chat messages" not rcs?
I would be very scared of having 2 RCS apps because of Google servers going crazy.
In any case, yes, that's RCS, it's just that companies are scared of people actually learning about things.
