Oh wait I posted that when I was groggy. I thought you meant comment. I'm not sure total karma is something that we will see on lemmy. But I personally never paid attention to that.
Where'd you hear that? I've only ever heard karma refer to a user's total score tallies, reddited since 2012.
Karma is the total score of received up votes plus award karma.
Reddit itself calls them "imaginary internet points"
