I don't get why Adesanya got an immediate rematch with Alex after losing, then Alex didn't get an immediate rematch after he lost. Seems like typical UFC fuckery to me.

I've got title rematch fatigue but I think Adesanya deserved it. He had held the title for a while, had a bunch of defenses, and had banked enough rounds to win that fight before things went south. Another wrinkle to the decision is that it seems like the UFC and Alex were already in matchmaking discussions prior to the rematch so they just keep moving in that direction (Alex moving up to LHW).

I just can not stand instant rematches. Have them both win another fight, and then hit the redo. Instant rematches always leave a bad taste in my mouth. Unless, I suppose, it's a draw. Seems unfair to the other contenders, especially when a career can change completely after one fight, and just lame in general. I'm also grumpy as fuck most of my waking hours.
