I decided to take a break and try something a little easier with this Maneki Neko pattern!

And now I find myself trying to remember the difference in symbolism depending on which paw the maneki neko is beckoning with . . . (I think one is asking for money specifically while the other paw is for general Good Stuff, but I cannot for the life of me remember which is which.)

From Wikipedia: The significance of the right and left raised paw differs with time and place. A statue with the left paw raised is to get more customers, while the right paw raised is to get more money. Hence it is also said that the one with left paw is for business and the right is for home
