Don’t put the answer in the title!

You can give a clue in the title of your post, but please don’t ruin the game.

Spoiler tag your solutions.

There are two ways to do this, take your pick:

1. NSFW your screencaps.

NSFW blurs images so answers aren’t revealed automatically when you load the front page.

(This is a workaround since Lemmy doesn’t support spoiler-tagging image posts.)

2. Use the body spoiler code.

If you don’t want to NSFW the whole post, you can spoiler within the body text and put your solution there. Here’s the format:

spoiler

You can upload your screencap directly into the body text. Just hit the picture icon in the formatting bar and it will insert that second line of code for you. So all you have to enter manually is the

spoiler spoiler at the top.

(I understand this is a bit fidgety, so if you’d rather just stick to the NSFW method for now, that’s perfectly fine.)

Thanks and enjoy!

Spoilering images? (self.letterboxed)

Is there a way to blur the images other than the nsfw tag? We're gonna get a reputation. Haha. Also, if you have show nsfw unchecked, it doesn't just blur, it won't show at all.

I'm sorry, has my comment just nuked our sub? >.<

Haha, don’t worry, I figured it out, everything’s okay.

I didn’t have NSFW turned on in my personal settings, that’s why it looked nuked.

But once I enabled it, everything came back.

I think Lemmy will auto-blur all solution images from now on, too, which is nice.

Anyway I updated the sidebar to tell everyone to turn on NSFW in their preferences; but we may have to remind newbies since it’s not immediately obvious what’s going on!
