New details revealed as manhunt for suspect in NYC murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO enters 3rd day (6abc.com)

A law enforcement source told our sister station, ABC7 Eyewitness News in New York, that the suspect's unmasked smile came as he flirted with the front desk clerk who checked him into the hostel, and encouraged him to drop the mask so she could see his smile. The suspect obliged, pulling his mask down long enough for the surveillance camera to capture his face.

Oof.

Anyone who takes COVID-19 seriously is a prime suspect 😷

Edit to add: I don’t know why people are downvoting a known fact: that the US police state is suspicious of anyone wearing a mask/respirator, which is why laws banning them keep expanding & spreading.

Not that the person you're replying to is or isn't sane, there have been a spat of laws recently making it illegal to wear a mask in some obviously dumb Republican areas.

Unknown fun fact about NYC is it has sections that are very conservative and it also has (had?) the most segregated public school system in the country
