[this might be an article to be shared with someone who still has illusions about Israel. Also has links to some excellent interviews with Khalidi.]

Not that any US president could put an end to US imperialism, but there's no chance that Biden read that book. He's always been a staunch supporter of Israel.

Right, and he just bought the book a few days ago. Highly unlikely that he will change anything. But I posted this because it might be useful for those of us who know people still sitting on the fence. This article could be something that they would read.

Public opinion in the Western countries has shifted a lot against Israel, but we still need to educate more people, and mobilize them against Israel's genocide.

Public opinion in the Western countries has shifted a lot against Israel, but we still need to educate more people, and mobilize them against Israel’s genocide.

i wonder if it'll go back the other way considering things like manufactured consent through the media; the tiktok ban & financed social media's universal ban on gazan genocide (eg bluesky, twitter, reddit, etc.); liberal media likely to be ditched by their corporate owners and then bought by conservative media (eg msnbc); and the republican's decade's long effort at pushing quality education outside the reach for anyone but the rich.

the success of that last one is so thoroughly resounding that a majority of people in 2 contents collectively turn a blind eye to both a genocide and to the entire world's rejection of that genocide; the democrats have escalated that conflict, but americans still seen them as non-war-hawk and americans also still see democrats as more progressive despite not enacting the equal rights amendment to help protect us from the likes of project 2025.
