It's typical bully bullshit that Trump relies on to "win" - he attempts to shock and scare the other side right out of the gate so they'll be eager to make concessions to avoid the worst. The problem is that it's no longer the power move he thinks it is because the USA no longer thoroughly dominates the world economy they way it once did. If he follows through with his threat now, the rest of the world can come together well enough to leave the USA behind. Then Americans will be truly well-fucked.
