It is not quite that new, the other sub has existed for a few years now. Its purpose is to discuss usenet / usenet providers without discussing indexers, automation, or anything like that.
Most of the peeps on Reddit don't seem to want to move but you can always point them to

[email protected] (if you want the Lemmy community of the same on the other site)
Personally I wouldn't push people to lemmy.world, the admins here have taken a hard stance against piracy related topics. Not sure if they will end up locking/deleting this community when they realize people may be using usenet to download more than linux isos :P
