French journalist and renowned Middle East expert Marine Vlahovic was found dead at her home in Marseille on Monday, November 27.

According to reports by La Provence, her body was discovered on the roof terrace of her residence by friends who had grown concerned after she failed to respond to calls or messages. She was 39 years old.

According to ARTE Radio, Marine Vlahovic had dedicated part of her short life to the Palestinian cause.

In Gaza Calling, she compiled video and voice messages from her colleagues and friends in Gaza, trapped under the bombs.

While the circumstances remain unclear, police have stated that there is no initial evidence that a crime has been committed.

Not to question the ban itself, as two much more "respectable" (and certainly influential French media) don't even mention the police statement [0] [1], but the fact that it's not the lead is the point of the saying - that user just didn't spell it "correctly" (tldr; it's lede).

(I also don't think, myself, that the initial police statement is the true lede of the story in the first place so they're kinda just wrong overall but what do I know)
