Alt textI wonder when someone will invent half-generations to get access to more specific marketing categories.

Man, I feel this sometimes. I watch my friends and people I follow online consume and buy so much stuff like it's their job, and I feel like I'm doing it "wrong" as a, quote-unquote, "fan/nerd". I know it's bullshit, but the pull is there, and I hate that it exists. I do like to support creators where I feel it's appropriate, but at a reasonable rate.

Companies have definitely realized nerds have a lot of money to spend. I tend to avoid the culture, because I don't need more stuff. To each their own, but I've never understood the appeal of e.g. funko pops. I think in right wing slang, these people are referred to as "coomers". I don't know of better terminology.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat looking at that part of it all. But, uh...just fyi: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/coomer

You might be thinking of "consoomer"? Both seem to originate from here: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/oomer-wojaks

Whoops yeah, meant consoomer. Think one of them derives from the other which is why I got them confused lol
