What is the first amendment anyway? Just some words, am I right?
Words and questions scare those that advocate for crimes
It's only relevant as long as the people in power consider it relevant. If they decide they don't care about it, then out it goes.
i meeeeean as someone not a US citizen that spends a non-trivial amount of time over there, i believe your bill of rights etc doesn’t apply to us, and if they’re talking about deportation that can only apply to non-citizens
could be wrong, and it shouldn’t matter, but always worth remembering that your expat friends have basically no rights and that can be really scary
(i once got questioned upon entry at an airport by homeland security for 90min because i messed up some paperwork - comply, comply, comply, and if you think what they’re asking is unfair then shut the fuck up, say yes, sorry, and lemme say it again: comply)
You are wrong because the amendment does apply to some non-citizens and she is also talking about citizens. If you read the first few paragraphs of the article...
