Instead of putting it in the trash, why don't you figure out what you can put in the box to reuse or recycle it?
I use pasta boxes to store old pasta boxes. No waste that way, and a great inheritance for my kids.
If you stored the pasta boxes at the bank, then, through the magic of compounding interest, you could have double the number of boxes 10 years from now!
