Explanation: The Hussites were a religious-political movement of the 15th century AD in Central Europe who followed the religious teachings of the reformer Jan Hus. The Catholic Church, none-too-pleased with this, attempted several crusades against the Hussites - the Hussites responded by mobilizing peasant militias which utilized novel wagon-fort tactics and made wide use of the then-new technology of handheld firearms, which allowed them to fight off Catholic crusaders and preserve their religious and political independence.
