2 $ -> 160 $ Not sure how this one expensive but still cheap item is relevant in the context of aviation? If you do not like it, buy your soap dispenser somewhere else? Not like this is a relevant part of the plane? How much does the carpet cost from them vs. market? To me that feels like buying bread in a pharmacy, they sure will do if you pay enough.

It's relevant because most other comparisons may have relatively reasonable explanations about cost increases due to materials sourcing records and things like that. A soap dispenser doesn't need any of that so it should basically be the same price.

If you buy food at a gas/petrol station you pay a lot more for the same reason. Even better fitting would be buying water at a luxury restaurant.
