That's putting it very mildly. He tried to redirect and deflect but did a piss poor job of doing it. "I'm not sure I understand the question." My man, you definitely understand the question, you don't have a good answer for it. "How" is a question a toddler could understand.
It's honestly more baffling to me that there was a time where politicians could express a modicum of eloquence, didn't shout, or result to personal attacks on opponents less than 100% of the time, because that's where we are today. Clinton facing backlash at having an employee of his nosh him off, as a wedded man, and that actually having consequences for him, is downright stunning. Instead, we now have politicians bragging about sexually harrassing and groping women, publicly, and they get lauded for it!
In my country we have politicians that assaulted a comedian with an iron pipe and they're in parliament now, a coalition government with the most milquetoast and incompetent conservatives I've ever seen. I don't even know what the point is, sowing seeds of indifference perhaps?
