Is there no replacement for #5 that we can go for and get rid of him once and for all?

Tchouaméni is the only one that I've seen analysts convinced that he could effectively replace Partey. I keep wondering whether we're trying to train Rice for that role, but Arteta constantly insists that he wants Rice to move further forward.

We need to put Rice in the 6. I don't know why we're not doing it. He's great there.

He might really want to play as a more attacking midfielder after being at West Ham for so long. I would like to see a system of two midfielders that can trade off being the DM, since Odegaard spends his time running everywhere anyway.

Bugger what he wants, quite frankly. Can't be fucked with another AMN situation. He plays best there, ffs.

Also tbf we haven't had any indication of that and he's certainly professional enough that he'd be willing to play deep, at least based on his outward persona.

Oh, for sure. Especially in an injury crisis like this. I mean ffs, Partey's playing at right-back.
