Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

SM cinemas has always been on the lower tier of projectionists. They jdgaf it seems. Last time ako nanood dun ni-libre lang (Green Lantern lol).

Ayala and Megaworld are inconsistent. Sometimes may decent (Vertis, Uptown), but for the most part (Eastwood, Trinoma, Lucky Chinatown) it's comparable to SM. Yung iba naman na "gReAt CiNeMaS" na nirerecommend, dinadaan sa Dolby Atmos explosive sound effects. I just want a sharp, punchy , colorful picture, damn it!

The best SM Cinema I had so far, is their Large Format at SM Seaside (Cebu). at kakaunti lang ito meron sa Pinas.

CityMall Cinema I had recently wasn't even Dolby Atmos, and yet the sound is really good — a really flat sound sig that I also prefer on my earphones and my 5.1 sound system at home.
