A place to meme about the glorious ROMAN EMPIRE (and Roman Republic, and Roman Kingdom)! Byzantines tolerated! The HRE is not.

  2. Memes must be Rome-related, not just the title. It can be about Rome, or using Roman aesthetics, or both, but the meme itself needs to have Roman themes.

Thank you so much for the explanations here. I usually know the gist of the reference, but I really like being reminded of the specifics. I wish we could have more such context comments in other communities. I really appreciate that you do so in so many of your posts! Even just the link to the museum for artifacts is so great.
