I'm making a post about this release just because I made a new release but to be honest I'm not sure what this release is about.

This release was created due to a lot of emerging issues with the app. I was in the middle of implementing the user profile screen(s) but I felt that the number of issues and the magnitude of those issues with the app was growing too large.

I've decided to do a quick release just to improve stability, so that's what this update is about.

This update isn't really the user profile update I was planning. This update does add a lot of user profile features but not all of them and the profile page remains unpolished. The next update should be the more official launch of user profiles.

Changelog

  • Adds the user profile screen
  • Fixed a bug where the instance can become out of sync with the account causing odd behavior
  • Switch to use chrome tabs for external links
  • Fixed a bug where double tapping a post would cause the post to not load. In some cases it can even cause a crash.
  • Add an option to show the full image when using the card layout
  • Fixed an issue with comments not expanding on tap
  • Fixed a bunch of crashes (I don't remember all of them)

Known bugs

  • Switching to an account that was created on the same instance will not auto refresh the posts (cache is being too aggressive again)

Looks great! Plz also post the app on the F-Droid app store. There are a lot of us who use completely de-googled android distributions that are more private! Thx!

Use Obtainium to keep up with open source releases that are not on F-Droid.

Also, I just tried Aurora just for kicks, and it now complains that there is conflict, after installing Summit via Obtainium. Not great...
