thanks, good to know it's not an issue on my end I have to figure out alone. Do you happen to know any workarounds to turn off the "updates" from happening constantly? I'd rather have a static list that I have to manually refresh than this flood of posts, but if there isn't anything I can do no worries, thanks for explaining it.
I'm not aware of a workaround unfortunately. I'm not a fan of the live posts/comments either. I think it is one of those things that was fine up until recently when all of the major instances suddenly became a lot more active, so it wasn't a priority until then. From what I can tell, the fix is already done and it should be applied the next time we get an update to the Lemmy UI, but I'm not 100% clear on how releases and stuff work with Lemmy/LemmyUI so take that with a pile of salt.
